When Life Just Sucks - How to Stay Positive and Motivated

Wow, it’s been a crazy darn rollercoaster this month.

Family, financially, and emotionally.

I am not going to make this blog post just complaining about life and my struggles about it because that’s life! One major thing that I have learned through it all though is how I respond in the situations. The struggles have challenged me to think differently. Its put my mind in a place to take a second and reflect of other possibilities. Its put me in very uncomfortable positions. I grew up a lot in this month and stepped into some reality, and I want to share with you how to stay positive, motivated, and focused when life is crazy sometimes.

Reflection

My journal is my best friend. Before, I open to anyone or say anything I will first let it all out in my journal. Then I can read it to myself and reflect what is going on at the moment. It is a great way to vent and really state how I feel.

Friends - I learned that it's okay to be vulnerable sometimes and open up to people. Obviously to people that you trust with your personal life. It's good at times to get a different perspective. Who would you open up to?

Meditation

If that is meditating or prayer I cannot stress enough how important that is for your well-being. Make sure to find a great location where there is nothing but silence. Your body and mind will thank you! You can even try The Miracle Morning which walks you step-by-step on how to start your day the best way possible.

Gratitude Journal

Another reason for you to buy another journal! The gratitude journal would be a space for you to write however many things you are grateful for that day. You can challenge yourself to never repeat. It really helps when you are having a rough day, and you can open the journal up and you are reading all your blessings in your life! Immediately you will feel a difference.

Change what you are doing

And finally after all that time of reflection on what is going on in your life - take action! Come up with a plan and brainstorm what you can do differently. What are the solutions? What are your options? How can you improve the situation? What do you have to change in order to fix the problem? Write it all out and take action. Everything will be fine.
